THE FINE DETAILS

This brush helps put out fires and create the smokiest of eyes. You can go from doe-eyed to do-me eyes in 20 seconds flat using the E04, and that’s including time for the thank you note you’ll want to send us. The short bristles have elasticity and durability, making it the perfect brush to start any smudging or heavy-handed blending. This brush could even cut your crease, if you felt so inclined.

The wide, rounded head, thinner profile, and short bristles offer a great amount of control to any product you’re placing down. Got a cleanup on Aisle Liquid Liner? The E04 gives you enough control to quickly swipe away any such mess. And because it’s not too big, not too small, but just right, the E04 fits comfortably against the upper and lower lash lines for when you want to blend right against them.

USE ME

On the eyes:

• With EYE SHADOW: To create a smokey eye or smokey liner with eye shadow, dip into your desired shade with the E04 and slowly trace along the lash line using small, sweeping strokes, winging out as desired. For a smokier look, "push" the colour upwards using the E04 by using gentle upwards strokes, moving from the lash line up towards the crease.
• With CREAMS: To create a smokey eye or smokey liner with creams (such as a pomade, kohl, or gel liner), use the E04 to lightly dip into the product. Push the cream slightly into the brush using the back of your hand to ensure even distribution. Then use light. long strokes against the lash line to create the desired shape, before feathering upwards to your desired thickness.
• Clean up lines using the E04: for cleaning shadows, use a clean E04 to create the edge you want by running it against the area. For cleaning liners or creams, add concealer or remover to the E04 before cleaning the edge.
• Add definition to the bottom lash line by adding shadow to your E04 and gently tucking it under your lashes before using soft strokes to add soft dimension. Build up your shade for more drama.

On the face:

• Use the E04 to clean up the edges of your lipstick by working concealer into the brush (dip into your concealer and then lightly work the E04 in soft strokes on the back of your hand), then tracing the outer edge of the lip line before gently diffusing.
• If you like a super sharp nose contour, draw your contour lines (cream or powder) on your nose with the E04 before blending out with the E02 (softer blending) or E03 (more precise blending).

The best way to take care of your brushes is to use them. No seriously: unused brushes can become more brittle and start to shed. Using and caring for them daily will make them last the longest. To make your brushes last: 

ON THE DAILY

• After using your brushes in powder, lightly tap off any remaining product. If you can still see some remaining in the bristles, gently clean the brush with a soft, dry tissue or soft cloth, doing your best not to rub the bristles harshly. 
• After using your brushes in liquid or cream, gently swipe off any excess product onto the back of your hand. If you still feel more product remains, use a soft tissue or cloth to very gently pat and squeeze the product from the brush, starting at the metal ferrule and working toward the tip of the brush. Once you feel a sufficient amount of product has been removed, use your fingers to gently ensure the brush is back to its original shape.

FOR A DEEPER CLEAN

There's no true rule for how often you should wash your brushes. If you're seeing excess amounts of product build-up, clumps or beads of makeup in the bristles, or the brush isn't performing as it typically does, it's time to wash your brush. An "off" smell is also a dead giveaway.

• Grab an unscented soap or brush shampoo. Use lukewarm water to wet the bristles, then create a foam with the soap and lukewarm water in the palm of your hand. Gently clean the brush in the palm of your hand using gentle circular motions before rinsing away the soap. 
• Gently squeeze the excess water out of the brush and repeat the process until the water running out of the brush is clear and free of makeup. When squeezing the brush, start from the metal ferrule and move upwards toward the tips of the bristles. Once all of the excess water is out of the brush, use a clean towel to gently press the bristles and further remove the water.
• Once the brush is just damp, use your fingers to gently reshape the brush into its original shape. Lay the brush flat in away from heat and direct sunlight to dry.

Note: it's recommended to avoid using alcohol to clean brushes as much as you can; it dries them out and makes them brittle!

Residents of U.S.A. and Canada receive FREE 14-day returns.

Unfortunately at this time we only provide free returns for residents of the U.S. or Canada. International returns outside of the U.S. or Canada are required to pay for their own return shipping fees.
